The e-learning platform hortiteach.eu serves as a central hub for digital learning content in horticulture. It enables teachers and learners to use interactive materials that modernise teaching and promote Europe-wide exchange. One example is the HortiExpert project, in which real objects such as trees are tagged with QR codes to provide differentiated learning tasks. This innovative method supports practical, action-oriented teaching and strengthens digital literacy in horticultural education.
HortiExpert

The aim of the project is to link realia (e.g. trees) with learning assignments or information using QR codes in such a way that a differentiated learning assignment can be accessed depending on the level of training (the first year of training is given a different task than the second year of training for the same QR code). This tool is implemented in existing learning management systems (IServ, moodle, lms.at).
This makes the learning process more interactive, appealing and individually adapted to the abilities and needs of the learners.
The participating students can work together across disciplines, across Europe and in the same learning area, recognising the importance of networks for their future work. Teachers receive an innovative digital tool for action-oriented teaching to dynamically link realia such as plants with learning tasks. The tool captures content in learning set libraries that teachers across Europe can exchange. The tool is freely available.
E-learning Platform
The e-learning platform aims to modernise training and connect horticultural teachers across countries. It offers digital learning materials, supports the exchange of best practices and promotes collaboration.
