The European professional competition for young gardeners is born.
In September 2002, the first professional competition is held at the horticultural school in Wolbeck on the initiative of Johannes Peperhove in Münster.
Even at this first competition, young gardeners from 11 European countries, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Luxembourg, France, Italy, Hungary, Austria, Poland, Estonia, Denmark, Germany, met in Wolbeck.
